Self-catering villas with sea views on a 30-hectare estate in Aljezur
Rooms & Villas
Herdade Monte Do Sol offers five self-standing air-conditioned villas with private entrance, exposed wood-beam ceilings, and stone walls. Each villa has a seating area with a fireplace, a flat-screen TV, and free fast internet (since November 2023) with speeds up to 319 Mbps. Guests have two terraces with hammocks and views of the sea and countryside, plus a modern kitchenette for self-catering.
Dining & Breakfast
Breakfast is delivered to each villa and includes fresh fruits, vegetables, breads, jam, cheeses, croissants, eggs, cold meats, coffee, milk, juice, yogurts, and local honey. There is an area with barbecue facilities for guests to cook outdoors. Special diet menus and wine/champagne are available upon request, and all rooms have a tea/coffee maker.
Outdoor & Activities
The property has an outdoor salt-water swimming pool open all year, with a view of the surrounding landscape, sun loungers, sun umbrellas, and a fence around the pool. Guests can take private surfing lessons, rent surfboards, or have repairs done on site. Hiking and cycling are possible directly from the villas, as the estate is on the Rota Vicentina walking trail, and there are also billiards and a games room.
Family & Children
A children's playground and baby safety gates are provided on the estate for families with young kids. The games room offers indoor entertainment for all ages. The spacious 30-hectare property gives children plenty of room to explore in a controlled environment.
Location & Services
The estate is situated within the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park, with the nearest beach 2 km away. Restaurants are within a 1.5 km walk from the villas, and free private parking is provided on site. An airport shuttle and shuttle service are available, along with room service, packed lunches, and accessible parking.
